In this topic,
We calculate number of bricks in the wall 5m x 3m x 0.2m
Where,
Ratio :- 1:4
Sand = 1
Cement = 4
Sum of ratio = 5
Length = 5m
Height = 3m
Width = 0.2m
now,
We know that,
- Nominal size of brick = 190 x 90 x 90 mm
- Mortar thickness = 10 mm
- Modular size of brick = 200 x 100 x 100 mm
Calculation:-
Total volume of brick work = L x B x H
= 5 x 3 x 02
= 3 m^3
Volume of modular size of brick = 0.2 x 0.1 x 0.1
= 0.02 m^3
No. of bricks = Total vol. of brick work / Vol. of modular size of brick
= 3 m^3 / 0.02 m^3
= 1500 Nos,
Volume of nominal size of bricks = 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 m
= .01539 m^3
Volume for 1500 Nos of bricks = 1500 x .001539
= 2.3085 m^3
Volume of mortar = Total vol. of brick work - vol. foe 1500 Nos of bricks
= 3 m^3 - 2.3085 m^3
= 0.6915 m^3 ( wet volume)
Dry volume coefficient = 1.33
Dry vol. = 1.33 x vol of mortar
= 1.33 x 0.6915
= 0.9196 m^3
Cement = Dry vol x density of cement / begs
= ( 0.9196 x 1 / 5) x (1440 / 50)
= 5.29 beg
Sand = ( 0.9196 x 4 / 5) x 35.31 where, 1 m = 3.28 ft
= 6.492 cft
Note :- you can also calculate numbers of bricks , sand and cement any required area fallow above solved calculation.
